Good morning friends, Today I am doing something I seldom do on my business page... I am getting a bit personal.... I hope you all had an enjoyable Mothers Day and that you shared many hugs, laughter and beautiful smiles with your loved ones. As we think of our Mothers, and/ or those strong ladies that had such a strong influence in our lives, it can be somewhat difficult to those of us who have lost our mothers.... As I was thinking about the times with my children, the memories of my own mother flooded my thoughts and as the tears began to fall I could only question if i was half the Mother as she. So I went through a short check list and here it is. !) I taught my children to be respectful to others ... Check 2) We attended church, although in their teen years it was the Church Of the Waffle House where we broke bread together and peace, joy and happiness was shared... Check 3) I remembered the best use of Palmolive liquid dish soap, and it wasnt for washing dishes, more for washing foul mouths... Check 4) I remembered to LOVE an UNCONDITIONAL LOVE....Check 5) I remembered that I wasnt their friend, but that I was their Mother.... but today I am their Mother first and friend forever...Check 6) I remembered to hug when they were hurting and hug again JUST BECAUSE.... Check 7) I remembered to bestow integrity, honesty and compassion in their souls.... Check 8) I have remembered to teach them their value, that they shouldnt alter their spirit and morals for anyone and to stand proud and tall... Check 9) I taught them that we dont always have to agree, but that we should respect others views... with a strong MOTHER KNOWS BEST.... Check 10) I showed them through my experiences & mistakes, that we all make mistakes, but as we grow we learn from these mistakes, such are the lessons of life ... Check Whew, Mom I think I maybe half the Mother you were... Thank You! I miss you so!!
