Good morning happy sunday Our Father in Heaven, you are indeed our strength, our song, and our hope of Salvation. The songs of salvation that proceed from our lips are the appropriate response to your great kindness, mercy, love and compassion. For your goodness, we give you our thanks today, Lord. This morning we pray humbly for the forgiveness of our sins. We admit that we have offended you, ignoring your righteous laws and the kind instruction you have given in your Word. Hear now our plea in the name of Christ. We desire to be washed clean through our faith in him and through his holiness, death, and resurrection. Thank you Lord for the promise of forgiveness when we confess our sins to you in Jesus name. Also, this morning, Lord, we admit that we are a needy people. So we pray for our needs – not with presumptuous hearts – as if we could demand anything from you at all, but with confidence in the high priestly service of our Savior Jesus. The one who intercedes on our behalf in heaven. So it is in his name that we bring our requests before you today. Lord, please be with those who are sick. Some have colds or flu. We know you care – even about these minor illnesses so bring about a quick recovery. Some, however, suffer from more serious disease or perhaps chronic pain that can be debilitating. Strengthen your servants who suffer physically. Be also Lord with those who are hurting emotionally - those who struggle with anger, sadness, or depression. We pray Lord for the poor. Feed the hungry Lord. Provide homes for the homeless. Bless the nations Lord. Bless the government of this country with peace and justice and also all the governments of this world. But Lord, do these things in such a way that those who benefit will see your mighty and merciful hand at work! May you get all the glory for your care of us. And Lord, most of all we pray for the souls of this world. Use your Christian people to share the good news of Jesus Christ – in churches all around this world, in schools, workplaces, and families. Our Lord, cause your kingdom to grow and bring about the eternal salvation of many.
