Please think with me :) and provide me with your ideas towards a project that I am about to work on. In Eeyou Istchee, there is a disproportionate amount of poverty. Shortage of housing is a huge problem in ALL First Nations communities. Poverty and lack of housing make women (especially with children) more vulnerable. So my question is: 1) WHAT are your thoughts on this issue? 2) WHAT sort of programs needed in Eeyou Istchee to alleviate the ongoing issue on poverty? 3) HOW can the systems in place be more pressing and open up to these women/families for better living conditions and to keep them away from poverty?
