Good morning my friends, I have come to the conclusion that people claim to know who God is, but I think there is just a small percentage that actually really know Him(His character) Paul says in Philippians 3:10 that his determined purpose is to know Him..in other words..that he may become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, understanding the wonders of His person more strongly and clearly. I believe that if we will take the time to put God first in our life, take time to be still and know that He is God as psalm 46:10 suggest, then He will reveal Himself to us and all that He is. A God who is under all, above all, around all, and in all. A God who is full of goodness, mercy, love, and His justice. As we begin to understand and appreciate who He is. Psalm 23:6 says goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. Its only when we really know Him that you can actually trust Him. You really have to know someone to trust them. Your not going to give someone you know nothing about $20,000 cash to go put in the bank for you. You would want to know everything there is about that person to determine whether they could be trusted or not, a personal relationship with them right? So why would you want to know anything less about the one who has authority over your life, the one who owns it all and controls it all? If you knew all there was about Him then you would know He always has your best interest in mind, and you would trust whatever He does or dont do in your life is for your best. Maybe then all this worry, murmuring and complaining would cease. Maybe then you could actually enter into that rest. Whatever your going through right now God will work it out for your good if you will trust Him. Again in order to trust Him you must know Him. The key is to focus on what He is, magnify Him and minimize the problem. As you magnify God and acknowledge that He is bigger than everything around you, then doubt, worry, and fear will be driven away and your faith will begin to grow.
