Good news. One of the surgeon spine docs said usually this kind and severity of break is usually death or severe paralysis with permanent breathing tube. ( think Christipher Reeves ....same injury) However, Dads breaks are very very stable and the spine surgeon thinks we might and should be able to avoid intrusive and risky surgery. We are going to get a second opinion on Monday but it looks like he will be fine. And will just have a long recovery but I Thank God for his miraculous stabilization. We hope to have him out of ICU status by Monday. He will still need prayer for him to hear and accept the Dr.s and therapist. I know the uncommon course of this break is directly related to all your genuine and heartfelt intercession and prayers. Thank you all so much.
