Good news! The Beijing Subway has begun trial operations of four new sections, to again make travel easier across the city in 2015. * new line 7 runs south of the city, between Beijing West Railway Station and Happy Valley, taking out a lot of congestion from line 1. * line 6 has a new eastern extension. * line 15 now cuts across the north of the city, so Wangjings easier to visit. * the new eastern section of line 14 runs from Wangjing then under Chaoyang Park to meet line 6. Not all transfer stations are completed yet, so pay careful attention to the new subway map. Unfortunately, were now paying more for our tickets. We will include all these updates in the next guidebook edition.
