Good news! The wound is 95% healed. The donor wound is 70% healed (larger area). I have another follow-up appointment next Thursday. However, it looks like I will be returning to work on August 18. Hopefully, Ill be in the swimming pool doing water aerobics shortly afterward. The YMCA has rules against going into their pool with open wounds, so thats why theres still a delay (due to the donor site). Still, Im much closer to the goal than ever! This is the best my right ankle has looked since before the accident. There were times I struggled with depression and despair, wondering if this ankle was ever going to heal. I know people can be kind and supportive, but NO ONE wants to be a burden, especially me. Thank you God! Thank you to those who prayed, sent me positive thoughts, and sent me messages of support and encouragement! I love you all. Thank you!
