Good news update! Taylors recent MRI looked really good a couple weeks ago. No blood clots, no swelling, just perfect! She did have a lot of inflammation in her sinuses (sinusitis), but thats been there since before she had the clot. So, this last appointment we checked her inner cranial pressure again. At its highest, she was 47. Which is really bad, she was high risk for blindness and stroke. Normal range is below 18. On Thursday her pressure was 12! 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just. OMG 12!?!!!!!!!!!???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! So, as of Friday we started to wean her off of the many extra meds shes been on to alleviate the swelling. Worst case scenario, they think she might need to see an ear nose and throat doctor for help with her sinusitis. But, I mean, ENT is the BEST diagnosis I couldve hoped for! Thank god we didnt needlessly place a shunt, thank god for our new team of drs who decided to wait, watch, and monitor. Taylor is turning 10 on the 30th of this month and I cannot think of a better gift than this one, of health and happiness
