Good samaritan deed of the day: its 8am. Im running an early morning errand. Im going south on long beach rd thru hempstead. Theres a jeep cherokee about 200 yds in front of me. A flatbed truck blows thru the stop sign from the left. The jeep swerves to the right and up that st. Im like HOLY SH*T! How did he miss that truck? So the flatbed keeps going. I get there, make the right and then realize the jeep wiped out 2 parked cars. I see if the driver is ok. And he points toward the truck. I look and hes way down the road making a right. So i take off. Hes making lefts and rights, jumping curbs. Really trying to lose me. ...but with every block im closing the gap. I dont know how he thought he was gonna outrun a mercedes benz, but once i get close enough, i call 911. I give them the name on the truck and plate number. Shes like, dont follow him anymore. I go back to the scene, now theres 10 ppl out there, i tell the other driver i reported it. And i leave. Who says sunday mornings are uneventful?
