Goodness me….is it really soooo long since I came on here and battered you all with words and things??!! All sorts of stuff has happened since then…even more than I realised having just had a glimpse at Auntie Chrysanthemum’s page….!!!! Ignoring her photos of “activities” on the adjoining land to our lovely cattery – and don’t get me started on that subject (especially if you are actually at the cattery as you will get the full force of our aggrieved state of mind and what action we are taking as well as a guided talk/tour!!) but I notice the moment I take the occasional night off the Mollys become a law unto themselves and take over the running of the house and the occupying of the beds!! Anyway, our beautiful guests are reclining with cat canapés and drinks this evening – although I am sure the nights are already drawing in! We have had a few arrivals today, some of whom are with us until the “mad” days arrive at the end of next week. It’s a strange feeling as we’re ambling along quite calmly – but it feels like a ticking time bomb of fun and excitement is about to hit us! We have reorganised our bookings book sooooooooooo many times we’ve almost lost track of who is going where! Let’s hope it comes together on the day(s) eh??!! Even now we have guests trying to book their holiday at the busiest time of the year….tut tut naughty puddy tats for leaving it so late! Our “home feed service” has taken off big time and as Auntie Sarah takes care of that on her way in to the cattery we doubt we will see her much before noon…before she’s off again to do the afternoon shift!! Now you know I have a tendency to laugh when people fall over…it’s not funny when it happens to me okay??! During my relaxation time my feet appeared to disagree with the rest of my little self (not for the first time!) and I fell off the tiniest step in the world! If you have ever seen the sketch in Only Fools and Horses when Del Boy falls sideways through the open bar….that was me!! I didn’t do my usual attractive “aarrrrgghhhh” sound or even put my hand out to stop myself from hitting the floor! In slow motion I just disappeared from view in a sideways sort of tumble before crashing to the floor in shock!! I now have a broken (well, sprained!!) ankle and I’m sure I need crutches but I’m being very brave. I have a very painful right shoulder (probably broken in several places) as well as a lumpy leg (although that’s normal to be honest!). Despite being told I was making a fuss, I know I was brushing it off in the least hysterical way possible proclaiming that I was fine and it was nothing to worry about….!! Lol…I’m such a drama queen! Well, I have been round to check on our guests during the typing of this essay. They want you to know that they are all fine and relaxed and are preparing themselves for the fun and games we will have tomorrow. Meow ouch poorly ankle night xx
