Gooood Morning! It felt AMAZING to sleep in this morning :)Then to wake up and be able to share this with all of you…I feel honored! Its stories like Christines that bring me such joy :) Please take a moment to CONGRATULATE my Challenger…now friend...on her AMAZING TRANSFORMATION! She has been dedicated and steadfast along journey to creating a healthy LIFESTYLE!!! Shes really adopted the 80/20 lifestyle for herself and it shows! Its not all about the weight loss and body transformation though! Id also like you to realize that this woman has been such an INSPIRATION and SUPPORT to others in the group! She has become a more POSITIVE person and is learning to love herself more everyday…and it shows in her post! I am so moved by her PROGRESS Mind, Body, and Soul! I look forward to walking along side her as she continues her journey to the BEST version of HERSELF! Christine…You ROCK! Heres what she had to say: I have had several people ask me to give an update on my fitness progress. I dont usually post pictures like this but Im learning that taking before/after pictures helps to document my progress, as well as makes me accountable here we go. I first started trying to get fit February 2014. At that time I weighed 202....the most I have EVER weighed. I joined & gym, talked to a nutritionist & began reducing the amount of soda, potatoes, rice & pasta in my diet, which had became daily staples. Within 30 days I lost 10 pounds then plateaud. In August I met Jeannette Dale on FB through a family member & I joined a private challenge group with her. I weighed 189. The group encouraged daily check ins, tips were posted, struggles were posted, there were reflections, etc. The purpose is to learn, to share, to encourage others, to learn about nutrition, get healthier & to be accountable. Something like this may not work for everyone but I found it was exactly what I needed. I had already started doing daily check-ins on my own FB & counting down the 60 days I had challenged myself to do. Mine & Trevors anniversary & our cruise became a huge motivation but the extra push from the challenge group & friends/family helped tremendously. Since coming back from our trip Im having a hard time getting back into a routine. I have had to find a new focus & motivation. I believe I have found it. I have realized I am doing this for me...and my family. I love how I feel & the extra benefits that come with eating healthier & exercising. I truly want to be the best me I can be & the best way to do this, in my opinion, is to continue getting fit. As of today I weigh 176. Since February I have lost 26 lbs, 7 inches in my waist plus 6 inches in my hips. I wont bore you with all the other measurements lol. I have went from a tight size 13/14 pants/dress size to 9/10 & from an XL shirt to L, almost to M. Why am I sharing this? To celebrate my progress thus far & to encourage myself to continue this journey. I have more to loose to be at my goal weight & a lot more to learn about nutrition. Its no longer about the number on the scale, its about better overall health & most importantly, making better food choices. I have learned I can splurge & have bad things occasionally, not every day. I have also learned the less I have the bad things the less I crave them. I feel better, I have more energy, Im more positive & Im happier overall. My cholesterol has also reversed to a healthy range. I hope to inspire & enrourage others to get healthier & maybe share some of the stuggles Ive encountered & some of the things Im learning. ALWAYS a work in progress♡
