Gosh that takes me back in time in Thomaston. My mom worked at the Blue Goose Cafe, loved the East Thomaston Pool and loved the Silvertown Theater on Saturday nights. Also loved the pool hall hot dogs. But nice girls didnt go in there. Dont even know if they were allowed !!!! Had to get a nice guy to bring them out to you. Or preferably a family member. I was born 6 years after this film was made. But I remember 99 percent of it!!! Good memories. And bad. No service stations anymore. Pull up and they check your oil and wash your windshield right of the bat. Those were the good old days. Everywhere you went you walked or got a cab. Not that many cars in Thomaston. Most were millworkers. Not the highest paying job in the world! But a lot of love, neighborliness and hard workers.
