Got a call from my nephew and great niece in Alabama after they saw my brother in hospital today. His leg is amputated to about 6-7 below knee - more than we anticipated. They said he was in good spirits and didnt seem to know anything about any more surgery or when he might go back to nursing home (nor was he interested in doing that). He was experiencing the phantom pains but other than that, seemed to be in good mood and enjoying the attention of all the caregivers at the hospital. Thanks for continued prayers for Billy. Thank God for Michelle, who checks on him regularly, and for Little Man who lifts Billys spirits when he sees him. [Little Man is Michelles son Avery. Billy can never remember his name so he just calls him Little Man......
