Got a few messages and calls from the different branches of media.. So thought Ill put up a public post regarding the entire journey of Hello Patrao project.. It all started with the idea of making original konkani music without the support of any bollywood/ national platform.. 2 & half years back I worked on a song called Kulyaacher Di which was a konkani tribute to the viral song Kolaveri Di.. Thousands of people appreciated it but a few said, I ultimately was riding on the back of an already existing hit song.. I felt bad.. And then stopped making konkani music.. Later, I got tied up with a few hindi film industry artistes and their projects.. I stopped thinking about the fact that in addition to my hindi music production, I need to produce something for my motherland Goa in my mother tongue Konkani as well.. But, a few months back, when I was fortunate to meet Mr. Rabbi Shergill and got to spend some time with him, he made the bell audible that was already ringing in my head.. I came up with the concept of the uniqueness of the word Patrao and how it unites the Goan people.. I met Mr. Raghu Shetiye who owns a real estate brand called Hello Patrao.. I asked him if he could sponsor this idea, as there was a similarity in the name of my song and his brand.. He instantly accepted, and offered me wholehearted support, having no benefits in exchange.. And then, my associate Ashish came up with the idea of covering all the sections of the society in the visuals depicting the true unity among Goans, and really everyone in the video was unconditionally happy to be a part of it.. Boney Alex came up with beautiful Guitar, mandolin and flute parts to compliment my tune and lyrics and Nashvin offered his studio for the recording.. We put in some sincere efforts and released it on this Independence day.. And we all know the rest.. The song is ringing in every Goan mind.. We are grateful to Prudent Media, for publishing it, and all the lovely Goans spread across the globe, who shared it on facebook and whatsapp.. Im glad, I could contribute to Konkani Music in my own little way.. :)
