Got back into my Ancestry account and now I cant stop. I went to ellisisland.org and found the ship info that my Great-Grandfather Maurice Granville travelled on from Ireland to NY in 1906. So grateful that he did. (Anyone in the family that has an account there, please let me know so we can share info.) The ship looks a bit scary Built by Harland & Wolff Limited, Belfast, Northern Ireland, 1889. 9,686 gross tons; 582 (bp) feet long; 57 feet wide. Steam triple expansion engine, single screw. Service speed 20 knots. 1,490 passengers (300 first class, 190 second class, 1,000 third class).Two funnels, three masts. Built for White Star and Dominion Lines, in 1889 and named Teutonic. Liverpool-New York service.
