Got this in an email, written by Richard Sherman this is why we have a Championship Team: Playoffs Alright 12s, this is what we’ve been waiting for all year! We are in a position to achieve something special here in Seattle and it all starts next week. I am proud of this team and the way we stuck together through adversity during the regular season. Through the bad games, injuries and everything in-between – this team has managed to push through it all and maintain a winning mind-set. The playoffs are my favorite time of year, due to the fact that it aligns with the 1-0 mentality we continue to maintain on a weekly basis. This week will be a great time for all of us to recover, hit the film room and anxiously wait to find out who our first opponent will be. I can’t say enough about Russell and the offensive unit. Each week they manage to move the chains and help us pull out victories. This group has had a lot of guys step up and produce in clutch situations, which is exactly what this team needed to get to this point. These guys are starting to hit full-stride at a crucial point of the season, and I can’t wait to watch them shine on the big stage. On the other side of the ball, it has been our hungry mentality that has brought us to playing at a high level. Although we have experienced success, we still maintain a chip on our shoulder to continually prove people wrong. Everyone on this defense is playing for the man next to him. As a tight-knit group, we take it personal when we let each other down and we push to get better each week. We look to maintain this chip and bring shutdown defense to the postseason again this year. This season has been a ride that I don’t want to end. Seattle is a special city with extraordinary fans who make this game fun to play. Next week sets the stage for what we have been working toward all year. All of our hard work and preparation has been geared toward this point of the season. The fact that we get to play in our house, in front of the best fans in the NFL makes it that much more special! The Playoffs bring an exciting time of year that this group of competitors loves to strive in. We can’t wait to find out who we are matching up with and get to work! #SeaBelieve
