Got ticketed for my overgrown backyard the day I left town. Today was the first day I was back in Lubbock that the municipal court was open, so I went to go pay it. The woman there informed me that today was the last day I could have paid it, otherwise there would have been a warrant out for my arrest. I was almost a fugitive for growing weeds in my backyard?! Surprisingly, the municipal court woman did not find me charming or funny. It was a $130 fine.
