Got to see the Raid 2 at last, and it lived up to the hype and was even better then the masterful first film. Some of the most brutal and amazing action scenes I ever seen ( The blind and mute girl with the hammers and her bat wielding brother were awesome, The end fight scene in the kitchen was out of this world as was the jail fight scene in the mud.) Loved the villains as they were actually a hateable bunch, Iko Uwais is a mixture of Jackie Chan and Tony Jaa, he gets his ass kicked but always wins in the end. Hollywood needs to take notice. My film of the year so far 9/10 Calvary with Brendan Gleeson, wasnt as good but still had enough to recommend it. Gleeson of cause is amazing as was Dylan Moran and Chris O Dowd showing of some serious acting chops. Like the Double, the trailer sold this as a comedy but its way more drama then that. Not for everyones taste, its not laugh out loud like The Guard, but well worth a watch 7/10
