Gotham episode 3: The Balloon Man was really interesting. The dialogue is getting better, even though Bullock is still chewing the scenery, but the narrative was much more layered. I am really enjoying watchign the rise of Penguin, not one of my favorite characters int her past, but this guy plays him well...and we get to see his slow rise up from nothing. After the heavy handed premiere, its nice to see them getting a grip[ on how to tell this story, A Batman story wihtout Batman. But I have to keep tellign myself fotr allt he fans ahting on this show because of its heavy handedness...there are still lots of viewers who know nothing about these characters... especially younger audiences, so Im more willing to give them a pass on the pilot! hehehe
