Goulburn Court House, circa 1887! Even though there were Police Barracks in Goulburn prior to 1886 a Police Station was not built until that year! The Court House and the Police station were connected via the underground tunnel, as were many early Courts and Police Stations! Goulburn has since received a new Police Station and access from the old station to the Court has been blocked, but the tunnel remains in use for high risk prisoners! The Crown on the dome is Queen Victorias Crown, which is unique to the Goulburn Court due to Victoria proclaiming the town a city in 1863 via letters of proxy! It is another beautiful old building designed by colonial architect James Barnett!
