Gov Amosun Reassures FTS Teachers Layed Off By Federal Government Ogun State Government has assured primary and secondary school teachers laid off by the Federal Government under the Federal Teachers Scheme FTS to absorb them in batches. Governor Ibikunle Amosun gave the assurance while meeting with these teachers who have been jobless since their contract with the Federal Government terminated. Since the current administration in Ogun State came on board, it has employed thousands of young graduates into various Ministries, Departments and Agencies; it has empowered young investors and also encouraged small scale businesses to thrive. They are all together six hundred and thirty eight , who had taught in the states primary and secondary schools for two years, collected eighteen thousand naira monthly allowance but are now been laid off while the number keeps increasing. Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun met with these young Nigerians with an assurance that he will make their case an emergency and put an end to their worries. Congratulating them ahead, Governor Amosun charged them to re-dedicate themselves, to help correct the ills in the education industry and also speak on unemployment as the greatest challenges. Akinbola Gbolahan Tobiloba on behalf of others thanked the state government for its swift response.
