Government Bans Transfers, Postings For Sometime Jammu: The state government today banned transfers and postings in the government departments and has also rescinded all the transfers made in education department after September 1. “In view of the emergent situation obtaining in the state due to incessant rains/ Floods , it is here by ordered that the there shall be complete ban on transfer/ postings in the state , till further orders” Government Order No. 07- GAD(CAMP) of 2014, dated 17-09-2014 issued today by General Administration Department reads. As per the order, the Government has also kept the transfers made w.e.f Sept 1, by different departments in abeyance with the exception of those made by GAD and related to the postings of officials in the new administrative units, even as rescinding all transfers in the education department made after the cut off date (Sept 1). “All the transfers ordered w.e.f 1st Sept 2014 by different departments, except by GAD and those relating to the posting of officers/ officials in the new Administrative units by other department are hereby kept in abeyance” the order reads further. It also says that ‘all the transfers/ adjustment/ attachment made by the school education department since 1st September 2014 are here by rescinded. Such transferees/ adjustees etc. shall immediately report back to their original places of posting’. The order further asks that ’all the departments shall submit a compliance report on the above, to the General Administration Department within a week’s time, positively.’ However, the government directed thorough the order that ‘if the transfer is necessary for dealing with the extra ordinary situation shall be made only after seeking prior approval of the General Administration Department (GAD). #Muneer
