Government Extends Curfew, Lifts Quarantine on Dolo’s Town in Margibi County. PRESS RELEASE MICAT, September 8, 2014 –The Government of Liberia has with immediate effect extended the Curfew throughout the Country from 9 P.M to 11 P.M beginning Monday, September 8, 2014. It can be recalled President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, as part of measures to stop the spread of the deadly Ebola Virus Disease, announced the imposition of a curfew throughout the country which took effect on Wednesday, August 20th, 2014. Meanwhile, the Government has lifted quarantine imposed on Dolo’s Town, Margibi County. The Government emphasized that there have been some successes, including the exercised of unprecedented level of community leadership in containing the Ebola Virus in Dolo Town. According to a MICAT release, this action is based on the advice of authorities of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare as well as consultations with local and international partners involved with efforts aimed at containing the deadly Ebola Virus Disease.
