Government of Uganda to take over Kasubi royal tombs. President Yoweri Kaguta Musevenis spokesperson Tamale Mirundi has warned that since a lot of non-Baganda have contributed to reconstruction and modernization of the cultural site, theyll not be out of order to demand that their cultural leaders be buried there too. What will Mengo say or do? Thats why the central government needs to start early enough on a legal mechanism to have full control of the royal tombs. No one should be surprised. When government observed that many non-Baganda had inhabited Kampala and kept their valuable assets there, the logical action was to separate Kampala City from Buganda and administer it directly from State House Uganda.
