Governor Bill Haslam is the perfect choice to lead the Republican Governors Association. As a conservative consensus-builder, Governor Haslam is both well-qualified and well-positioned to advance the mission of the RGA to elect more conservative governors nationwide. Tennessee has a long history of leaders ascending to the national stage. As our federal government and national political culture declined over the past few years, Tennessees light continued to shine bright. I believe strongly that the cure to what ails our federal government can be found in our states. Tennessees success story of strong conservative governance is an example all states should follow. Im proud to see Governor Haslam taking on a role in which he can both share and replicate that story of conservative success.
