Govt commences construction of three-storey-18-unit classroom block for Ayawaso sub metro • The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Accra cut sod for the construction of three-storey-18-unit classroom block, at the Ayawaso sub-metro in the Greater Accra Region. • The initiative forms part of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly’s (AMA) educational projects under the Urban Development Grant (UDG) II. • It is aimed at building an ultra-modern school facility to be furnished with disability friendly material to enhance the quality of education in the metropolis. • Schools in the Ayawaso sub-metro expected to benefit from the project are Accra New-Town Experimental cluster of schools, Abavana Down cluster of schools and Mamobi Prison’s Yard cluster of school. • The Millennium City schools project is an indication that President Mahama is committed to providing quality education and ensure that the country trained people to run the affairs of the country.
