Gov’t allocates 5m for Volta University As part of NDC 2012 manifesto to continue the provision of infrastructure for the University of Health and Allied Sciences, p19 • Government has allocated GH¢5 million to the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho, to enable it meet its financial commitments, Deputy Minister of Education Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa disclosed. • The ministry is aware of the resource constraints of the university and consequently doing everything possible to accelerate its development. • Currently under contraction at the University is the Anatomy laboratory which would be completed in March this year. • The Laboratory when completed would take 100 students at a time for practical studies, and end the perennial journeys to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital,Accra, for practicals.
