Grace has led my friend, Brandon Hayslip, home. My heart is both heavy and relieved. Im thankful he is no longer in pain, and yet heartbroken for the pain that Christina and his loved ones suffer in his absence. About a month ago I was asked to begin working on the printed program for Brandons memorial service. This is the fourth Wilkerson family funeral program Ive designed: Tiffany Jonker, David Wilkerson, Gwen Wilkerson and now Brandon. It seems too much grief for one family to bear. No one understands why God allows the trials and the suffering He does, yet the grace He bestows on His children as they endure lifes hardship is undeniable. Despite their suffering and the unexplainable timing of the Brandons cancer reoccurrence (just days before the birth of his daughter Aria), they have never wavered in their faith of Gods plan for their lives. Brandon was denied life insurance and in his final days the burden of leaving his family behind with no financial provision weighed heavily on Brandons heart. It comforted him to learn that friends and family were making strides to raise funds on their behalf. To this end, all of the artwork in my Etsy shop entitled BRANDON HAYSLIP Special Edition is being donate as part of this fundraising effort.
