Grace vs. Works These scriptures are for those who do not under stand the gospel of God’s Grace and are trying to obey the Law of works by trusting in what they do to save them and get them in heaven when they die: All through the word of G...od from the book of Genesis and all way up through the cross even to this very day God promised, he would save any person by faith and by faith alone. Many people believe that God has a set of scales and he has all of your good works on one side of the scales, and all of your bad works on the other side, and when you die he will way all of your good work, and all of your bad works, and if you have more good works, then bad works he will let you in to heaven, and if you have more bad works then good works he will cast you into hell. That is not what the word of God says at all, to be saved and to go to Heaven when you die has nothing to do with or by what you do or have done to be saved, it is all by what he Jesus Christ has done for you on the cross at Calvary to save you by his works of righteousness. MATTHEW 7:22 This is Jesus speaking here, Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? Notice here Jesus says, these people done had done many wonderful works to save them. MATTHEW 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you depart from me, you that work what ?Iniquity. Now what happen to all of these people to find out that Jesus Christ will not let them into Heaven? They confessed him, they prayed to him, they was water baptized, and took the Lords supper, and handed out tracks, and gave money, some even clam they cast out Devil’s, they done many wonderful works to get them in Heaven. Jesus Christ doesn’t say they were once saved and now they were lost, Jesus Christ says, they were never saved. See there are many people who name the name of Jesus Christ and worship him and serve him but they have never trusted him to save them, they trusted in their works by what they did to save them. ROMANS 11:6 The apostle Paul Says, And if by Grace, then it is no more of works: otherwise Grace is no more Grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more Grace: Otherwise work is no more work. If any person is trusting in something that they do or have done to save them they are as lost as a hound dog searching for a soup bone, In Matthews 7:22,23. EPHESIANS 1:7 Says, In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his Grace. By what? Grace EPHESIANS 1:2 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. EPHESIANS 1:13 In whom you trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, You were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise. In whom you trusted, here is a scripture that plainly says, you must trust Jesus Christ by faith and him alone to save you, and then he seals you with his Holy Spirit. EPHESIANS 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory EPHESIANS 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great Love where with he Love us, EPHESIANS 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (By Grace you are saved;) EPHESIANS 2:8,9, Says, “For by grace are you saved through WHAT ? FAITH“, and that not of your selves, It is the gift of God not of works , lest any man should boast.” We see here we have two things going here in this verse, first Jesus Christ says, he will save any person and give eternal life to any person as a free gift, who will just believe by Faith, which is to trust in him Jesus Christ alone, and secondly, Jesus Christ tells us there is nothing we can do by our works of righteous In Titus 3:5 to save our self, or to earn the gift of eternal life by what we do or have done, which would be works for salvation. We are either saved by God wonderful Love mercy and Grace through Faith alone and eternal life has to be as a free gift through faith only, or not saved at all, You should underline this verse in your Bible. Going to heaven is a free gift by God, with out the works of the Law for what he has done for us on the cross by his works of righteousness alone, or it is not a gift at all. You must trust in Jesus Christ and him alone to save you and by nothing else. Grace means unmerited favor, means you get something you don’t deserve for free, works means you deserve it you earned it. If a person trusted in something that they did to be saved, then God would be in debt to you and he would owe you a wage which is eternal life, Titus 3:5 Says, not by works of righteousness, not which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the holy ghost. Regeneration is the new birth and when the new birth takes place we are washed of our sins eternally In Revelations 1:5, Salvation is not a process, at the instant we are born again, we are for ever Gods son or Daughter, nothing we can do, or nothing we can undo What God has done for us through Christ. The new birth cannot be repeated or undone, physically or to become unborn spiritually. Once the new birth occurs you are washed of your sins eternally, TIMOTHY 1:9 Says, who has saved us, and called us, with a holy calling, not according to our works; but according to his own purpose, and grace, which was given to us in Christ: GALATIANS 2:16 Says, Knowing that a man is not “justified by the works of the Law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the Law: For by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified, other words be saved. ROMANS 4:5 But to him that work not, but believe on him that justified the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. ROMANS 4:4 Says, Now to him that work is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt, but to him that work not, but believe on him, that justify the ungodly his faith is counted for righteousness. Do you know that your Faith alone is counted for righteousness. ROMANS 4:6 Says, ("God imputed our rightness without" works.") PHILIPPIANS 3:9 Says, And be found in him, not haven mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith. Is not the righteousness of God’ imputed to you good enough to get you in heaven? Think about this. ROMANS 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by Grace. ROMANS 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead. ROMANS 5:5 The Love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us, With out the Holy Spirit by faith one can not be saved! ROMANS 5:8 But God commended his Love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for ROMANS 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. When Jesus Christ died on the cross at Calvary to pay for your sin debt and when you trust him Jesus Christ as your savior by faith his death became your death, his resurrection became your resurrection from death unto Life. When he died you died with him in the flesh, and when he rose from the grave you rose from the grave with him, this is why we water baptize people, it is a picture of your death, your burial, and your resurrection, with Jesus Christ from death of the grave, unto life. ROMANS 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him; ROMANS 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead die no more; death has no more dominion over him, ROMANS 11:6 The apostle Paul says, If by Grace, then is it no more of works, otherwise Grace is no more Grace, But if it be of works, then is it no more Grace, otherwise work is no more work. GALATIANS 3:6 Paul says, Even as Abraham Believed God, and it was accounted to him for rightness GALATIANS 3:7 !Look what the apostle Paul is saying here! “Know you therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham, GALATIANS 3:8 and the scripture says, fore seeing that God would justify the heathen though faith, preached be for the gospel unto Abraham saying, In the, Shall all Nations be Blessed “Paul is saying, we are save just like Abraham through faith and by faith. GALATIANS 3:2 Says, this only would I learn of you, received you the spirit by works, of the law, or by the hearing of faith. GALATIANS 3:5 Says, but to him work not and just believe, on him is counted for rightness. GALKATIANS 3: 6 Says, “God imputed our rightness with out” works“. TIMOTHY 1:9 Paul says, here: again “who has saved us, and called us with an holy calling, “Not according to our works:, but according to his own purpose, and Grace, which was given to us in Christ. Have you trusted Jesus Christ and him alone by faith to save you?
