Grade 8 students learned about the three branches of government through reenactments, making posters, and also through making RSA style videos. Students created storyboards and then filmed themselves on iPads drawing out pictures and descriptions of the three branches. They then edited them on the Macs in the Upper School, sped them up, and wrote scripts for them and narrated them. Students guided their own learning along the way, and checked for accuracy as they went, not wanting to mess anything up for the camera! Here’s just one example of something that each student did in their group, after spending just a few days on the project.
