Grads: Full-time Research Data Manager (University of Maryland) The University of Marylands Child Development Lab (education.umd.edu/EDHD/faculty/Fox/) is seeking a full-time Research Data Manager to work on the Bucharest Early Intervention Project which is a randomized control trial of foster care involving infants and young children in Romania. The project, now it its 12th year involves multiple types of assessments (e.g., questionnaires, behavioral observations, electrophysiology, MRI, genetics). The position is for a minimum of three years with an immediate start date. Responsibilities include creation of new data files, organization and maintenance of existing data files, and documentation of new and existing data files. The data manager will be responsible for insuring the reliability and scoring of data as well as the creation of new data sets for project staff. The data manager will interface with the Project manager and the three Principal Investigators on a routine basis and will be involved in initiatives to improve the use and management of data and ensure data security, accuracy and quality. This person should have at least a Bachelors degree in Psychology or Statistics and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (spreadsheets & word processing programs) SAS and SPSS. Experience in exporting data for analyses, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to the accuracy and completeness of data is essential. Knowledge of developmental science and/or experience with longitudinal datasets is preferred.
