Grand Effect Productions will present LIFE!, a new musical comedy revue show that takes a look at the lives of several colorful characters, on Tuesday, May 6; Wednesday, May 7; andThursday, May 8, 2014, at Calhoun Street Soups, Salads and Spirits, 1915 South Calhoun Street. The first slice of LIFE! visits a materialistic birthday girl Ella, and her tightwad boyfriend, Luis. Then we find ourselves in a park, watching a girl and a young man pretend to be two people they are not. Our next stop is at a bus station where Juliet is waiting for ”The King”. We then shift to a theatre dressing room where a famous actress and a woman have a heart to heart discussion about love. Keeping on the subject love, the next scene takes place in a trashy reception hall where greasy mechanic, Ernie, and his pregnant “exotical” dancer bride, Candy, tell their sordid story. The next scene serves up two men having dinner and a huge argument over a small matter in a café. The final scene finds a young man and his wife visiting the home of Naomi and her dead husband, “whatever his name is”. The show also has many toe tapping production numbers that are guaranteed to entertain people of all ages. The cast of this revue includes Paul Allen, Thomas Browning, Cameron Cooper, Anita Dabba, Katia Ewing, Danielle Figley, Angela Holliman, Amber Queener, Jamen Ratcliff, Carleen Reynolds, Becky Rogers, Julie Ruckman, Eric Shearer, Rae Surface and Miranda Wheeler. Seating for the show will begin at 6:15pm each evening. The show will start at 7:30pm. Advanced tickets will be available for $12.00 each from Calhoun Street Soups, Salads and Spirits or from any cast member from Monday, March 24, until Thursday, May 1, 2014. They will be $20.00 after that. Reservations can be made by calling our box office at (260) 205-1523. Everyone who attends the show will need to purchase a ticket no matter what age. Seating is limited so advance ticket purchase is strongly suggested.
