Granny got dialysis again today a total of almost 8 liters of fluid off of her. She was very tired and not feeling well. She was hungry and ate a little of chicken noodle but her stomach was hurting so she didnt have much. We are waiting now on cultures to come back but her urine tested positive for legionnaires disease. For those who dont know much about it, it is an infection in the lungs. it is not transmitted from person to person but can be caught by unclean nebulizers, water fountains, ice machines, air conditioners in big buildings, ponds, lakes, rivers, streams, thermal pools, hot tubs, whirlpool spas, large plumbing systems even your shower and shower heads can be a place the bacteria can grow and those with weakened immune systems are more susceptible to infection. This will be treated with antibiotics for at least 7-10 days through IV and perhaps longer with oral meds. I was able to see her bed sores, they are raw and bleeding. Poor girl was practically in tears when they changed the dressing. There is fresh skin and you can see where they are trying to heal but they look painful. Granny still has the squishy play doe type legs but the swelling has gone down significantly! Please keep the prayers coming. she really needs it. I dont want her to lose faith, she needs a healing. I know we work on Gods clock, and I know that he has a reason for all that goes on, I am not trying to figure that out or question but I sure do ask that he heal her so she can feel better.
