Grateful for my dear friend Erma whom I have had the pleasure to know and love for the last 4 mos. we became very good friends when I met her at the nursing home while momma was a resident. I had continued to visit her since. She just recently had a congestive heart failure while I was gone to Santa Fe, so it was a surprise to me to find her in such of condition when I came back. We used to go out to the garden every morning after breakfast and enjoy Gods nature , she loves the beautiful birds there. We would have some meaningful chats, listen to jazz or blues, we would laugh (because she is hillarious), we would get into trouble (you really dont want to know how), and I would sit and listen to her play the piano along with the other residents. So, the last 3 days I been visiting her it took some getting used to her having a hard time talking and seeing her confined to bed, so I just been reminding her of the great times that we have had together and how much I love her. Today I actually brought a couple of my hats, put some sassy Pitbull music on and danced for her, she cried and laugh almost like old times, and she reminded me how alike we are just a little crazy is what she would say. I am just so Grateful for her and for being able to show my love to such of wonderfull soul by just being there for her.
