Grateful for the many many freedoms we enjoy as citizens of the USA. But my ultimate citizenship is not in the USA, North America or the earth on which we preside. I am an adopted beloved daughter of the King of Heaven. The freedoms we have in our country have come with great sacrifices--we should not take them for granted. But for those who call themselves Christ Followers, we must remember the sacrifice of our Creator on our behalf. THIS sacrifice offers the WORLD a freedom beyond documents in the archives and rows of white crosses in a cemetery. The freedom we are given through Christ is for ALL in the world NOT just for those who reside in the nifty fifty United States. We cannot and SHOULD not wrap our faith and freedom we find through the cross of Christ in our American flag--when we do so, access to the FREE gift of grace becomes exclusive--Christ came for ALL not just the USA. "For God so loved the WORLD that WHOEVER believes will not perish, but will have eternal life." John 3:16 (Okay rant over--had to get that off my mind--too many statuses with American flags with scripture written on them about freedom in Christ.)
