Grateful to one of my most supportive students, who has been there from day one. Turning up time and time again, even when he’s feeling unsteady, uneasy, and misunderstood – he still turns up and gives it his all, and allows me to be there for him / with him. I’m grateful that I got to share this journey with him, and am grateful that yoga has helped him through his loss, and he has found a space to now place roots, and feel grounded and heal. So grateful to have witnessed this transition and I wish him all the love in the world – he truly deserves it, he’s such a great person. Grateful for seeing a glimpse of a yellow umbrella last night, and spending the evening with a full hearted Ted Mosby=) It’s making me realise how much I keep my heart away from hurt. Grateful to see someone who has been through so much in such a short space of time, still have so much belief in love, in life and the future – and have so much to give. Grateful for scars, and the beautiful, painful & humorous stories they carry; from chemotherapy to superman capes, for grey hairs, and seeing the beauty in getting a little older. Despite the comments I get from my younger colleague, I’m starting to feel ok about it. =) Grateful for the people that come into my life, for the ones that stay and those just visiting. Grateful for tulips, for lilies, for lavender and tokens of thanks. For Selfridges gift cards, for beautifully prepared food, for passion expressed through creativity and catch ups with people I love. For hugs, for touch, for smiles & shrieks of joy from babies on buses =) For Lebanese wraps, and choc truffles in pretty packaging that looks too good to open. For wine, wine, & lots more wine, and killer cocktails that leave a tingling chilli sensation on the lips. For being in a situation I want to run away from, but instead just sitting through it, and allowing it to be what it is without giving it too much meaning or judgement. - Man this one is hard to be grateful for, but its getting easier! Really grateful to all the teachers out there, for their passion and dedication to share knowledge and help to shape young minds so they can carry the world forward. A ‘level results are getting better, because teachers are working tirelessly to ensure they give as much as they possibly can. Super grateful to you guys. Have a super Friday, and a fabulous weekend!
