Gravity (2013) Dir. Alfonso Cuaron. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney in space. A movie that really should be seen in 3-D. I didnt think I would ever say that in my life. Some of the 3-D was forced at times (Bullocks tears, etc), but the distruction scenes, especially the one with the parachute, were pretty great. Overall, I thought there were short moments that were really cool, but the rest of the movie was aggravating. Clooney comes off as arrogant as ever, and the entire movie feels very mainstream-oriented, with forced scenes where Bullock talks about her daughter or cries, and characters doing illogical things just because. The spectacle works, but the attempts to build character connections fail miserably.
