Great Conference today... but bad news for the little screech owl. RIP little screecher. The Montana Wild rehab center emailed today that the owl went downhill quickly today and crossed the rainbow bridge. Special thanks to the laurel property owner, WJH bird resources and the Montana Wild team for all the efforts to give this little guy a chance. It is now believed he had some head/nerve trauma most likely from flying in a window or automobile. I am always comforted that injured wildlife die in a warm, dry environment that gives them a chance to overcome shock, stress and hypothermia in this type of weather.
