Great Spirit, Almighty Healer and Creator of all things seen and unseen, it is with a humbled heart that we gather together as one to offer up many thanks. We thank you for the knowledge that all things have a purpose. As the tree gives us the air to breathe, we give the tree the carbon dioxide it needs. As the bee needs the flower to pollinate, so too the flower needs the bee. We thank you for the ant as he shows us that great things can be accomplished when we unite together to work toward the common goal. We thank you for the strength of the eagle that shows us that even we can soar above the storms of life. We thank you for the cascading of the mountain stream flowing from the snow-capped mountains to the rivers below, ever overcoming the obstacles in its path. We thank you for the many herbs and plants that bring both nourishment and cures for our diseases and ailments. We thank you for the clouds that bring the rains to moisten the lands in order to generate growth. For the seeds that begin to germinate in the soil during this time of birth and rejuvenation, we thank you. We thank you for the burrowing animals, the worms, and other crawlers that continue to aerate the soil. We thank you for the lightning of the summer storms that bring needed nitrates to the soil before the harvest. We thank you for the wheat fields, rice paddies, potato fields that will feed the masses. We thank you for Father Sky as he protects us from the hazards of space. We thank you for Grandfather Sun as he rises each morning to bring growth, warmth and light to us. For Grandmother Moon as she watches over us during our slumber, we thank you. We thank you for the dew that drops from the leaves and petals in the early morning hours. We thank you for the cool breezes of the morning air as it gently caresses our skin. We thank you for the music and wisdom found in the rushing waters and the winds that blow through the trees. We thank you for Mother Earth that supplies us with all we need and the healing powers she possesses. We thank you for our Elders that give us the wisdom passed down to them over the generations. We thank you for our children that will soon inherit the life we leave before them. We thank you for our ancestors that have left their blood and history in the soil we tread upon. We thank you for those that come into our lives for a short time to provide us with the insight we need. We thank you for family and friends that serve to give us support along our journey.
