Even if you dont do anything else on this list encrypt your phone and for the love of all things private do not use your fingerprint if that is an option. The courts have ruled that since they are allowed to collect your fingerprint that they can force you to use it to unlock your phone. They cannot however, no matter what the courts rule, force you to divulge your personal password. They can tell you they can till their blue in the face but the information is in your head and they only have jurisdiction or power there that you give them. Put the phone numbers of anyone you would wish to call from jail in your ICE (In Case of Emergencies) group, this includes at least one lawyer, even if you have never used them before. This allows you to call these contacts without unlocking your phone. NEVER unlock your phone while in custody, ever. 3.) Setup a bambuser account and download the App. Use a strong password on your account. This will let you record and store the video remotely and they will have to get a court order to get access to bambusers servers to get to your data. This is not an easy task. 4.) Record them whenever you can. This is one of the rare situations when you have the power. Dont give it up.
