Great article about one of our new favorite teachers - Mr. Alex! Good work Cherry. :) Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Alex–Cherry Lin–Grade 5 Mr. Alex is a new teacher at Tree House. He comes from Perth in Western Australia. They have free health care which means you do not have to pay money for the doctor. They also have many beautiful beaches with few people. The reason why he came to Taiwan is because one time when he was backpacking in Australia someone told him how great Taiwan is, and Mr.Alex has some friends in Taiwan too. Therefore, he decided to come. He first came to Taiwan five years ago to learn Chinese at NTU. Mr. Alex and Mr. Adam are classmates at NCCU now as well. On the weekends he likes to go hiking because he likes to breathe clean air and see the special animals of Taiwan. When it is rainy outside, he reads books or sits by the window and listens to the rain. He also likes to play clarinet on rainy days too. Mr. Alex has two dogs at home; one is a boy the other is a girl. Max is a cocker spaniel, golden brown, and he is eight years old. The girl Prada is a Shiba dog, who is black and tan. She is five years old. Mr. Alex takes them to the gym and walks with them every weekend if it is sunny. Mr. Alex likes Tree House because it is different from other schools in Taiwan in that it allows him to interact and engage with students in fun and exciting ways. Mr. Alex is the first teacher I know who likes rainy days. I really hate rainy days because I cannot play with my friends outside. But next time when it is rainy, I think I will try sitting down beside the window and listening to the sound of the rain like Mr. Alex does. treehouse.tw/?p=49265
