Great concert yesterday in Paradox Tilburg with Ben van Gelder and his quartet. After a nice warming up the second set was splendid. I was impressed by Bens solo version of Body and soul as the ending of a excellent evening. The album Reprise is also a joy to listen, especially August. For me trumpet player Ambrose Akinmusire was a disclosure. He has a beautiful sound and superb technique. Im glad Ben invited him. Ambrose will perform at Paradox again on 8 may 2015, so dont miss it!
