Great day down at Balmoral today for Cycd. First of all Ian Blatchford flew the club flag in the Champions of Champions A Grade crit. The field was brimming with talent including riders who race overseas and in the National Road Series. As always Ian was very active and did the club proud. The B Grade team event was an awesome event with 8 teams of 6 racers. The race had 4 primes and was the best racing we had seen all year from B Grade. Our team of Stephen, Neil, Sam, Liz, Mark and Tom went out with a plan in mind and executed perfectly to get Tom the win. Stephen finished 4th and on overall points the team came 3rd but for us it was about getting the win and Tom delivered. The comments about the Cycd lead out train on the last the lap was great to hear with all team members burying themselves to get the guys up to contest the sprint. the pocket rocket Liz did an awesome turn to get it together and the guys did the rest....well done to all and a big thanks to many Cycd supporters who came along and supported the racing team.
