Great day today at Mt. Zion. My parents and sister, Alison Funderburk came and sang for us this morning, and Harold Philyaw shared a dramatic monologue of the sermon on the mount (it was amazing!). Then tonight the church had a cake and ice cream social to celebrate pastor appreciation. I was truly humbled by their show of love and support for me and my family. It is such a blessing to have such a church family that sincerely appreciates their pastor and his family. The longer I serve the Lord and His church, the less I take for granted the small things that make ministry precious. I am truly a blessed man!
