Great day yesterday at the Gayton Kirk Celtic Festival. Band sounded great!!! We would like to thank Daniel Ripley of the Saint Andrews Legion for coming out and playing with us and helping take the pressure off Pipe Major David Hinton during tuning sessions. Also, we had a mishap yesterday. Opening ceremonies went well, then during our second show at 11:00 AM, the pipe majors bag on his pipes blew wide open, split down the middle. He made a simple repair with duct tape to play the X-Band show and the final show with the pipe band. This is a first in VSGPD history. Never had a bag blow out during a show. Wow.
