Great fans and great coaches are what makes the best memories of days gone by. Some of my favorite times were when we busted out of the dressingroom and set foot on the ice. Fans like Mary Hathaway and Ester Banks would fiercely ring that cow bell for Middleton. Home games or away didnt stop them and if a goal was scored by Middleton it was all the sweeter because if there was ever a mascot we had the best. My own father Merlyn Toole played hockey long before I had a love for the sport and I remember trying to wear his gear when both my feet wouldnt have filled one of his skates. I have had many coaches throughout my 14 years of playing hockey in Middleton and they all taught me initiative, perseverance and most of all, no pain no game. Hockey is truly a sport that builds positive things that last beyond a lifetime. It brings a community together and develops friendships. Its more than just a pastime. Hockey meant alot to me and it meant alot to my dad. There are lots of things you can do for the younger generation but the Middleton arena is the best thing for everyone. #MiddletonNSforKraftHockeyville.
