Great list. I made it a point to introduce many of these authors to my children via our author studies or literature readings. We even had the privilege of meeting a couple of them. It was wonderful to hear Patricia Polocco speak about her learning issues right at the time we started homeschooling because of special needs. As much as I hate Captain Underpants Dav Pilkey was very inspirational at our house. Just knowing Dav Pilkey really existed and lived a few hours downstate from us made my son feel better about his own LDs.
