Great morning in court. Had a judge ask me to do something out of the ordinary, I replied I had never done it that way before, and he took that to mean it was--literally-- my first day in court. He then proceeded to tell me, Ok, here. Ill show you how to read a complaint. Can you find it in your file? Ill wait until you find it. (Long, tortuous pause). Ok, look at the second line down. What does that say? I just had to play along. No arguing with judge.
