Great news! HB2020, a bill prohibiting live animals as prizes was introduced again this legislative session! Rep John Kavanagh sponsored the bill and has been instrumental in our efforts to stop this practice. The bill has been assigned to the House Judiciary Committee. This is one of five very important bills to protect animals that will be on the agenda for the AZ Humane Lobby Day at the Arizona State Capitol! We will be meeting with Rep. Kavanagh tomorrow to discuss the progress of the bill. A huge thank you to Rep. Kavanagh for his efforts on behalf of the animals! Rep. Kavanagh has also sponsored two other important bills protecting animals on the tomorrows agenda.
