Great news. Our cat Sammy has been limping for a while. Our vet thought there was a fracture - but nothing showed up on the x-ray. Then they thought it was an infection - even though the blood tests came back clean. After he finished the antibiotics without any improvement, we found a new vet for a second opinion. They found a polyp. Got the results tonight that it is NOT cancer! They think he popped his hip out of the socket and then somehow got it back in - but there is fluid left behind from the inflammation. All he needs is an anti-inflamatory. It is a big relief. I thought we were going to need to teach the kids about the circle of life. Sammy and Smithers are 13 - but will hopefully still stick around for a while!
